Dundee Fire Department

About Us

The Dundee Fire Department, founded in 1844, proudly serves the Village of Dundee and the Towns of Starkey, Barrington, and Reading in New York, providing professional and dependable fire protection, rescue, and emergency response services. In addition to normal fire and emergency response activities, the department maintains specialized teams including a High Angle Rope Rescue Team, an Ice Water Rescue Team, and a FAST/RIT Team to support firefighter and civilian rescue operations. The department also operates a volunteer ambulance service, proudly serving the community for over 75 years since its establishment in 1948. Staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers, the Dundee Fire Department remains committed to protecting life and property through rapid response, ongoing training, and strong community involvement—standing ready to answer the call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
